In reflecting on 2014, I realized we travel a whole lot (last year we visited India, London, Norway, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Utah and California). All that travel has made me much more savvy when it come to what I carry in my bag. I was inspired by Rue La La’s handbag guide to share what’s inside my purse when I’m on the go. When I’m traveling or in tourist mode I only want the bare essentials  – no time for digging around a purse for this girl so I opt for a tote or hobo bag. But even the bare essentials takes some planning. Below are my key items for making any trip (even if it’s just to the grocery store) a cinch!

1. Neutrogena face wipes $1.99 at Target

My mother taught me to never go to bed with make up on but sometimes we end up getting in from a flight and the driving directly to hotel to go to bed and the last thing I want to do is search through my bags for my face wash which is where these face wipes come into play. Using these neutrogena face wipes you can easily remove all your makeup before hitting the hay.
The funny thing about flying is it forces you to sit down instead of running around crazy person. Sometimes on a flight (once my daughter falls asleep) I like to touch up my nails.this color is both friendly & fun.
Just because you’re traveling doesn’t mean you should be stinky or have to smell other people stinkiness for that matter. That’s why I like to carry a little roll-on perfume – it’s quick to put on & can help if you have an unpleasant smelling neighbor.
4. Disney Frozen Sticker Pack $1 at Target
One dollar to save you from your hollering toddler. Let’s face it security lines, baggage claim and the airport in general are designed to torture people with small children. These frozen stickers have gotten me out of a sticky situation a time or two with my toddler.

5. Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint $40 on Birchbox
There is absolutely no reason to wear heavy foundation when traveling. I like to opt for something light and airy like Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint. It has spf 20 so you don’t have to worry if you get a bit of sun plus it’s packed with antioxidants. The end result is a soft glow that gives you a put together look – even when you’re stuck on a long flight.
6. Emergen-C Vitamin C 1,000 MG $12 on Amzaon
Something about traveling (maybe the stress, time spent in airports or gas stations, the junk food I eat) always runs down my immune system. So to keep from catching a nasty bug I always travel with a few of the Emergen-C Vitamin C packets in my purse. They dissolve in a water bottle and are pretty good tasting – making it easy to stay healthy on the go.
7. Aviators Sunglasses $7.99 on Target
It’s my personal policy never to buy expensive sunglasses because when you travel a lot the odds are you’ll end up losing them. These aviators look cute & their price tag will keep you from shedding any tears if they decide to disappear.
8. LSTN Headphones Cherry Wood Bowerys $50
Not only do these headphones look awesome because they are made from reclaimed wood, but they sound amazing. Not to mention when you buy a pair they donate to help restore hearing for a person in need.

So there you have it! All the fun stuff I keep with me when I’m on the go. I always love it when people share their tips with me so post below any of the items that you simply cannot live without when traveling :)
